  • The Louvre Museum or simply the Louvre — is one of the world’s largest museums, the most visited art museum in the world and a historic monument. A central landmark of Paris, France

  • The Musée d’Orsay is a museum located on the left bank of the Seine. It is housed in the former Gare d’Orsay, a Beaux-Arts railway station built between 1898 and 1900. The museum holds mainly French art, including paintings, sculptures, furniture, and photography.

    It houses the largest collection of impressionist and post-Impressionist masterpieces in the world.

  • The Musée Rodin was opened in 1919 and is dedicated to the works of the French sculptor Auguste Rodin. It has two sites, at the Hôtel Biron and surrounding grounds in central Paris, and just outside Paris at Rodin’s old home, the Villa des Brillants at Meudon.

    The collection includes 6,600 sculptures, 8,000 drawings, 8,000 old photographs and 7,000 art objects. The museum receives 700,000 visitors annually.

  • Centre Georges Pompidou houses the Bibliothèque publique d’information (Public Information Library), a vast public library, the Musée National d’Art Moderne, which is the largest museum for modern art in Europe, and IRCAM, a centre for music and acoustic research.
